This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.
• Utilize a well-established network within the construction industry to discover, nurture, and develop new business opportunities.
• Foster and enhance relationships with potential and current clients, contractors, developers, construction executives, project owners, and other key influencers.
• Stay actively involved with clients post-acquisition of new business, aiding in strengthening and expanding relationships, uncovering additional opportunities, and ensuring long-term client retention alongside the account team.
• Represent American Global at industry conferences, associations, networking events, sponsorships, and speaking engagements.
• Collaborate with American Global’s insurance, surety, risk management, and specialty teams to connect prospective clients with appropriate solutions.
• Articulate American Global’s capabilities, construction expertise, and competitive advantages to prospects and industry partners.
• Keep abreast of construction industry trends, market dynamics, key projects, competitors, and emerging opportunities.
• Work together with internal teams on prospect strategies, presentations, proposals, RFPs, and client development initiatives.
• Track business development activities and pipeline information within Dynamics CRM.
• Assist with broader growth initiatives and strategic projects as necessary.
• Established network and a strong reputation within the construction sector, including connections with senior-level decision-makers.
• Demonstrated success in business development, sales, relationship management, or another client-facing role within the construction industry.
• Solid understanding of the construction sector and the operational and growth dynamics of contractors and related organizations.
• Strong executive presence coupled with exceptional communication, relationship-building, organizational, and follow-through abilities.
• Entrepreneurial and collaborative mindset, capable of identifying opportunities and working alongside technical insurance and surety professionals.
• Eagerness to develop knowledge in insurance, surety, risk management, and the broader capabilities of American Global.
• Valid driver's license and dependable transportation are mandatory.
