This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Virginia.
β’ Establish and nurture relationships with federal mission users, program staff, acquisition stakeholders, systems integrators, and partners.
β’ Execute targeted outreach efforts to key agencies.
β’ Identify and assess opportunities based on mission requirements, funding, acquisition timelines, competitive landscape, and alignment with SS8 capabilities.
β’ Oversee opportunities through SS8's sales processes.
β’ Develop account maps and pursuit strategies that encompass stakeholders, milestones, deadlines, risks, and subsequent actions.
β’ Investigate agency priorities, budgets, contract mechanisms, and competitors.
β’ Assist with RFIs, RFPs, sources sought notifications, and additional procurement initiatives.
β’ Provide context regarding customers, competitive insights, and strategic themes for winning.
β’ Aid in the scheduling of proposals and the readiness for submission.
β’ Keep precise pipeline data updated in Salesforce.
β’ Present evidence-based updates during weekly reviews and proactively escalate risks.
β’ Share customer and market insights across Sales, Product, Engineering, and Marketing teams.
β’ Assist in the preparation of presentations and capability briefs.
β’ Facilitate transitions from capture to delivery.
β’ Report directly to the VP of U.S. Government Sales and collaborate closely with the senior solutions architect and channel leader.
β’ 3β5 years of experience in federal business development, government sales, capture support, contracting, or account management.
β’ Demonstrated ability to cultivate relationships and manage opportunities involving multiple stakeholders and deadlines.
β’ Excellent organizational, written, and verbal communication skills.
β’ Self-motivated and detail-oriented.
β’ Proficient in Salesforce or a comparable CRM system.
β’ Familiarity with the federal acquisition process, including RFIs, RFPs, contract vehicles, budget cycles, and systems integrators.
β’ Willingness to travel occasionally.
β’ Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government security clearance if necessary.
