This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Massachusetts.
• Identify, research, and qualify new business opportunities throughout North America
• Engage in proactive outreach through phone, email, LinkedIn, and industry events
• Create a strong pipeline of development and manufacturing prospects
• Collaborate with North American BD Directors and Senior Directors to prioritize accounts and streamline outreach efforts
• Ensure a smooth transition of qualified opportunities
• Develop and nurture relationships within the Boston/Cambridge biotech and pharmaceutical sectors
• Represent AGC Biologics at local industry events, networking gatherings, conferences, and trade shows
• Articulate AGC Biologics' technical and operational capabilities to decision-makers and scientific stakeholders
• Keep accurate records of prospects, pipeline, and opportunities in CRM systems such as Salesforce
• Work alongside Marketing on campaigns, conference preparations, and lead generation efforts
• Collect and analyze market intelligence to guide go-to-market strategies
• Deliver qualified opportunities that align with the company's growth objectives
• 1-3 years of experience in business development, inside sales, or a comparable commercial position, ideally within the CDMO, CRO, or broader life sciences/biopharmaceutical fields
• Bachelor's degree in Life Sciences, Biochemistry, Biotechnology, Business Administration, or a similar discipline
• Proven track record of proactive outreach and lead qualification
• Capability to generate and manage a high-volume pipeline across various accounts and regions
• Skill in crafting personalized outreach through email, phone, and LinkedIn
• Proficiency with CRM systems such as Salesforce and Microsoft Office Suite
• Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities
• Ability to simplify complex technical information into clear, audience-appropriate messages
• Willingness and capability to travel domestically approximately 15% for industry events and internal meetings
• Located in the Boston, MA area
• Preferred: Knowledge of biologics drug development processes, including microbial or mammalian expression systems or nucleic acids
• Preferred: Previous experience in a CDMO, CRO, or biopharmaceutical setting
• Preferred: Familiarity with tools such as ZoomInfo, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, Outreach, or Salesloft
• Preferred: Understanding of the drug development lifecycle
• Preferred: Established connections within the Boston/Cambridge biotech and pharmaceutical community
