This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Virginia.
• Identify and execute business development initiatives related to professional services.
• Assess, promote, and evaluate the feasibility of new product and service offerings.
• Conduct economic analyses on product opportunities and business models.
• Collaborate with internal departments on business development initiatives.
• Partner with sales, marketing, and prospective customers to assess needs.
• Create and implement account strategies and pipelines to secure new business in the DoW ADO market sectors.
• Identify, qualify, and secure new business opportunities, including primary contracts exceeding $50M.
• Establish and sustain a qualified pipeline aligned with HII-Mission Technologies' strategic growth objectives.
• Formulate and execute customer call strategies.
• Analyze the competitive landscape and spearhead distinctive win strategies.
• Lead or assist in the negotiation of teaming agreements.
• Engage with customers to identify and develop opportunities by leveraging knowledge of mission, capabilities, relationships, and contract vehicles.
• Oversee the development of white papers, RFIs, market surveys, and sources-sought responses.
• Facilitate in-person meetings.
• Develop and present bid/no-bid recommendations and pursuit/capture strategies during Gate Reviews.
• Support capture and proposal development through customer insights, solution support, color reviews, and proposal writing.
• Serve as the primary internal and external contact for the ADO Group on new business endeavors.
• Regularly interact with high-level customer leadership and collaborate with internal business units.
• Exemplify HII values of integrity, safety, honesty, engagement, responsibility, and performance.
• A minimum of 10 years of relevant experience with a Bachelor's degree in a related field; or 8 years of relevant experience with a Master's degree in a related field; or a High School Diploma or equivalent with 14 years of relevant experience.
• At least five years of proven success in Business Development or Capture Management within defense or federal market sectors.
• A minimum of five years of successful Program Management experience as a Program Manager or Deputy Program Manager in defense or federal market areas.
• Established and extensive relationships with senior and mid-level leadership in the DoW or federal customers.
• Demonstrated ability to form strategic partnerships and maintain relationships with large and small businesses in both federal and commercial markets.
• Capacity for learning, proactive management, juggling multiple tasks, and demonstrated technical/business acumen in GovCon.
• Exceptional communication skills and the ability to engage with senior leadership.
• Willingness to collaborate and work across borders.
• Ability to interact with end users and discuss capability-based solutions.
• Willingness to travel as necessary.
• Tenure and loyalty to previous companies or organizations.
• Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a security clearance.
• Preferred: Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification.
• Preferred: Top Secret clearance.
• Preferred: Experience in P&L or military acquisition program or product management.
• Preferred: Familiarity with FEDSIM and IAC vehicles, MILDEPs, and GCCs.
• Preferred: Proven track record of wins or extensive experience in transitioning opportunities from concept to contract.
• Understanding of service-type contract arrangements and acquisition life cycles.
• Familiarity with the organizational structure and missions of the 11 Unified Combatant Commands, Department of War, Intelligence Community, Department of State, Department of Homeland Security, FEMA, and other FEDCIV agencies.
