Business Developer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.

📋 Description

• Cultivate and sustain relationships with municipal officials, community leaders, utility providers, consulting engineers, and engineering firms.

• Formulate and implement strategies for market expansion to enhance market share and create new business opportunities.

• Identify, investigate, and pursue infrastructure and public works projects utilizing both existing and emerging sales channels.

• Spearhead significant project initiatives by collaborating with internal teams and sales partners to develop effective strategies.

• Build trusted connections with key decision-makers and purchasing influencers.

• Represent the organization at industry conferences, trade exhibitions, community events, and professional associations.

• Oversee project opportunities from initial development through proposal, selection, and contract award stages.

• Obtain and assess RFQs, RFPs, bid documents, and associated procurement materials.

• Coordinate proposals, pricing, bid submissions, contracts, and relevant documentation.

• Assist in proposal presentations and project initiation activities.

• Maintain continuous communication with clients to ensure effective project execution and customer satisfaction.

• Evaluate project results and pinpoint opportunities to enhance future win rates.

• Monitor market trends, competitive dynamics, and business conditions that could affect growth opportunities.


⛳️ Requirements

• Proven experience in business development, sales, or relationship management.

• Exceptional written, verbal, and presentation abilities.

• Capability to establish credibility and influence decision-makers at various levels.

• Strong organizational and project management competencies.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.

• Ability to concurrently manage multiple projects and pursuits.

• Bachelor's Degree preferred.

• 5-10 years of relevant experience in business development, community engagement, sales, municipal, utility, infrastructure, or related fields.

• Equivalent combinations of education and experience will be taken into account.

• Willingness to travel overnight approximately 30% of the time.
