Business Developer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.

📋 Description

• Foster and nurture relationships with municipal officials, community leaders, utility providers, consulting engineers, and engineering firms.

• Formulate and implement strategies for market growth aimed at enhancing market share and broadening business opportunities.

• Identify, investigate, and pursue infrastructure and public works projects through both established and new sales channels.

• Spearhead significant project initiatives by working collaboratively with internal teams and sales partners to develop successful strategies.

• Build trusted relationships with key decision-makers and purchasing influencers.

• Represent the company at industry conferences, trade shows, community events, and professional associations.

• Oversee project opportunities from initial development through to proposal, selection, and contract award.

• Obtain and review RFQs, RFPs, bid documents, and associated procurement materials.

• Coordinate proposals, pricing, bid submissions, contracts, and relevant documentation.

• Support proposal presentations and project initiation activities.

• Maintain continuous communication with clients to ensure effective project execution and client satisfaction.

• Evaluate project outcomes and pinpoint areas for enhancing future success rates.

• Track market trends, competitive activities, and business conditions that could affect growth opportunities.


⛳️ Requirements

• Proven experience in business development, sales, or relationship management.

• Exceptional written, verbal, and presentation abilities.

• Capacity to establish credibility and influence decision-makers across various levels.

• Strong organizational and project management capabilities.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.

• Ability to handle multiple projects and pursuits concurrently.

• 5-10 years of relevant experience in business development, community engagement, sales, municipal, utility, infrastructure, or related fields.

• Equivalent combinations of education and experience will also be taken into account.

• Willingness to travel approximately 30% of the time for overnight stays.
