Business Analyst – Mortgage Technology

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Oversee and assess system utilization, design solutions, and formulate specifications for system modifications.

• Act as a vital control point for system improvements and quality initiatives.

• Collaborate directly with technology department personnel and other stakeholders.

• Function as a subject matter expert in the technology field.

• Gather, evaluate, analyze, and document system/user requirements from business users.

• Work with stakeholders to establish project objectives, scope, and timelines.

• Modify plans and priorities in response to shifts in project scope, priorities, or requirements.

• Delegate tasks as instructed by the manager.

• Examine user feedback, survey results, and usage statistics to reinforce and validate requirements.

• Advocate for and support departmental goals and objectives.

• Relay staff feedback, performance updates, and status reports to the manager.

• Monitor, organize, and prioritize assigned projects.

• Complete projects within designated timelines and inform managers and stakeholders of any delays.

• Convert business requirements into comprehensive functional designs for development, testing, and implementation.

• Investigate system usage, overrides, exception and validation handling, common errors, and extensive time per page/field.

• Engage in discussions with application analysts to ensure coherence between systems.

• Participate in, take ownership of, or facilitate quality initiatives.

• Anticipate and mitigate potential issues and obstacles.

• Assist with UAT testing and preparation for demonstrations.

• Address daily requests as they arise.

• Communicate testing progress, outcomes, issues, and obstacles to project stakeholders and management.

• Carry out additional tasks assigned by the manager.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a related field, or a comparable mix of education and experience.

• Over 5 years of industry and/or relevant experience, typically in a Senior Analyst or Analyst role or equivalent external position.

• More than five years of experience in mortgage/technology/secondary market.

• Training in finance/mortgage banking is preferred.

• Proven success as a QA or Technology Analyst at SitusAMC is highly desirable.

• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

• Ability to provide actionable constructive feedback with objectivity and diplomacy.

• Proficient in computer use with extensive knowledge of MS Office and web-based systems; emphasis on Excel.

• Excellent PC skills and a high level of proficiency in Microsoft products.

• Professional demeanor and ability to work as part of a team; punctual and reliable.

• Strong problem-solving capabilities.

• Exceptional organizational and interpersonal skills.

• Minimal travel required.
