Business Analyst III – Encounters Claims, EDI, SQL

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Missouri.

📋 Description

• Conduct analysis and interpretation to align business requirements and objectives for the designated function.

• Assist business initiatives by performing data analysis, identifying implementation challenges, and carrying out user acceptance testing.

• Determine and assess user requirements, procedures, and issues to enhance existing processes.

• Execute comprehensive analysis across multiple projects, propose business solutions, and ensure effective implementations.

• Discover methods to improve performance management and operational reports concerning new business implementation processes.

• Collaborate with business units and departments to create and deliver training programs.

• Develop, share, and integrate organizational best practices into business applications.

• Identify issues and recognize opportunities for process redesign and enhancement.

• Formulate and revise departmental policies and procedures.

• Act as the subject matter expert for the assigned function product to guarantee operational performance.

• Adhere to all policies and standards.

⛳️ Requirements

• Must possess authorization to work in the U.S. without the necessity for employment-based visa sponsorship, now or in the future.

• Proficient in SQL writing and query development, with a background in creating, optimizing, and managing database tables.

• Experience in healthcare encounters and EDI transactions, encompassing data analysis, troubleshooting, reconciliation, and support of end-to-end business processes.

• Proven experience in documenting business processes and gathering requirements.

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience.

• A minimum of 4 years of business process analysis experience in the healthcare sector, or at least 3 years of experience with managed care encounters.

• Background in encounters or claims business analysis within healthcare, preferably in managed care or Medicaid.

• Familiarity with Amisys or other claims systems.

• Understanding of HIPAA transactions, including 837, 999, 824, and 277.

• Proficient in SQL scripting.
