Business Analyst – Identity & Authentication

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Assist in the advancement of the Department of Defense’s next-generation enterprise Identity, Credential, and Access Management platform.

• Evaluate business processes and document requirements for the AMASS initiative.

• Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams comprising federal personnel and contractors.

• Collect, verify, and document business, functional, and technical requirements.

• Create user personas, use cases, workflow diagrams, wireframes, interface mockups, and functional specifications.

• Provide support for mobile authentication, enrollment, account recovery, proxy access, and integration with partner applications.

• Assess workflows and system processes to identify gaps, efficiencies, and opportunities for improvement.

• Convert operational needs into actionable requirements for technical teams.

• Develop Requirements Traceability Matrices, business process documentation, user stories, functional specifications, and process maps.

• Assist with development, testing, and implementation through requirements traceability.

• Document user journeys for mobile authentication and provide guidance on API integration.

• Contribute to backlog refinement, prioritization, and sprint planning within an Agile framework.

• Lead meetings, capture action items, and ensure effective communication across program teams.

• Ensure adherence to federal standards, program governance, and data security protocols.

• Offer ongoing support, reporting, and analytical insights to program managers and government stakeholders.

⛳️ Requirements

• 5 years of experience with a BS/BA; 3 years with an MS/MA; 0 years with a PhD; or 9 years with a high school diploma.

• Capability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance.

• U.S. Citizenship is mandatory.

• Experience as a Business Analyst on federal government initiatives.

• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and documentation abilities.

• Familiarity with Agile methodologies, user story development, and requirement management tools.

• Excellent communication skills with the capacity to present complex information in a clear manner.

• Self-motivated and proficient in working remotely.

• Preferred: Experience supporting DMDC, DoD, or personnel data systems.

• Preferred: Knowledge of AMASS or comparable large-scale data matching programs.

• Preferred: Exposure to data analysis, SQL, or system integration tasks.
