Business Analyst – Health Insurance

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Switzerland.

📋 Description

• Assess business requirements and processes within the Swiss health and accident insurance sector, and collaboratively develop effective solutions with business units and IT professionals.

• Oversee requirements throughout the entire lifecycle—from analysis and conceptual design to specification and implementation.

• Enhance and optimize insurance applications and business processes, particularly in claims processing and automated invoice auditing.

• Guarantee the functional and technical quality of systems, while aiding in the analysis and resolution of defects.

• Configure and maintain applications, ensuring that reference and tariff data remains current.

• Contribute to customer projects and assist in release planning and rollouts in partnership with customers, business units, development teams, and system providers.

• Track legislative and regulatory changes in the Swiss insurance market and identify necessary actions.

⛳️ Requirements

• Completed education in business information systems, computer science, or a commercial field, coupled with a strong affinity for IT.

• Several years of professional experience in the Swiss health and/or accident insurance field.

• Extensive knowledge of claims processes under the Swiss Health Insurance Act (KVG) and/or the Swiss Insurance Contract Act (VVG), ideally complemented by experience with tariff systems.

• Proficiency in analyzing, designing, and specifying business requirements (Requirements Engineering / Business Analysis).

• Familiarity with insurance applications, preferably Adcubum Syrius or Sumex.

• Experience in configuring applications; knowledge of SQL is advantageous.

• Understanding of testing, quality assurance, or release management is a plus.

• Independent, structured, and solution-oriented work style, along with a passion for collaborating with diverse stakeholders.

• Excellent written and spoken German, with a professional demeanor.
