Business Analyst – DISA

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Analyze the backlog of user stories to comprehend necessary modifications.

• Work in collaboration with Product Owners on user stories and their updates.

• Document acceptance criteria for both user stories and bug tickets.

• Assist Developers in understanding user stories and their respective acceptance criteria.

• Facilitate discussions regarding new functionalities.

• Test user stories and maintain documentation of testing evidence.

• Act as scrum master and conduct daily scrum meetings.

• Create agendas for backlog grooming sessions and secure approval from Product Owners.

• Lead backlog grooming meetings with Product Owners.

• Conduct demo days and present stories to Product Owners.

• Train stakeholders on new functionalities.

• Document business processes and any changes made.

• Revise requirements documentation as necessary.

• Update user manuals accordingly.

• Provide support to the Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) as a Business Analyst (Appian).

⛳️ Requirements

• Must be a US Citizen.

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline such as software engineering, information systems, computer science, or business.

• A minimum of five (5) years of relevant experience, including educational background, in business process and system analysis, design, improvement, and implementation, as well as change management and training support.

• Proficiency in Agile methodologies and JIRA is essential.

• Capability to provide detailed, comprehensive, testable, and traceable process components in formats such as Business Requirements, Functional Requirements, Data Requirements, System Software Specifications, and Use Cases.

• Experience in business process and system analysis, design, improvement, and implementation support.

• Ability to convert business process needs into technical requirements and offer change management and training support.

• Strong communication skills for organizational and strategic planning in technical and functional environments.

• UI/UX experience with software applications is preferred.

• Scrum master certification is a desirable asset.

• Testing-related certification is an added advantage.
