Business Analyst

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Evaluate business requirements and identify suitable tools, methodologies, standards, and best practices.

• Collaborate with colleagues on technology application and product delivery standards and frameworks.

• Adhere to repeatable and scalable processes for gathering, designing, and prioritizing tasks.

• Foster relationships with both internal and external stakeholders to recognize trends, needs, and opportunities.

• Keep abreast of leading technology products and methodologies.

• Acquire a working understanding of essential business processes and provide technological advice to the business.

• Execute testing for software deployments and updates.

• Support project management efforts, including creating project plans, timelines, and deliverables.

• Engage in systems and process testing as well as quality assurance.

• Offer end-user support and training on new systems and processes.

• Lead the design and execution of technology platforms while collaborating with a diverse team and vendors.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in business, finance, or a related discipline; OR 5+ years of progressive experience in financial services, insurance, or data analytics sectors.

• Demonstrated success in gathering business requirements, designing, and developing proper documentation for prioritization within the overall roadmap and technology strategy.

• Familiarity with key business performance indicators (KPIs), particularly those relevant to the risk, insurance, and claims sectors.

• Proven ability in business facilitation and effective utilization of project management techniques/tools.

• Client-facing experience is a must.

• Willingness to travel up to 15% annually.

• Preferably 2+ years of experience with an Insurance Company, MGA, or TPA.

• Ideally 5+ years of experience as a Business Analyst.

• Background in the commercial insurance industry and regulatory landscape is beneficial.

• Experience managing business projects throughout the entire life cycle, from inception to implementation.

• Strong negotiation and conflict resolution skills.

• Comprehensive understanding of commercial insurance and claims processes/services.

• Practical knowledge of insurance technology, including policy and program administration systems.

• Familiarity with Agile project management and development methodologies.

• Exceptional communication and collaboration skills.

• Ability to work effectively across IT, Operations, and Underwriting Programs.

• Capacity to synthesize requests, identify trends, and provide recommendations regarding business performance, effectively communicating findings to diverse audiences and aligning with the overall technology roadmap.
