Business Analyst

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Pennsylvania, +1 more state.

📋 Description

• Assist in client projects through research, financial analysis, data analysis, and reporting.

• Create financial summaries, comparisons, market research, KPI analysis, and other data-driven outputs.

• Evaluate financial and operational data to uncover trends, inconsistencies, and insights.

• Articulate the implications of financial and operational data.

• Assume responsibility for assigned tasks and proactively pinpoint next steps, open questions, and opportunities for improvement.

• Develop clear written documentation, including memos, summaries, trackers, and analyses.

• Establish collaborative relationships with internal team members and clients.

• Utilize Claude and other AI tools for research, analysis, drafting, and reviewing documents, while ensuring the validity of outputs and calculations.

• Assist in coordination of engagements through scheduling, follow-up tracking, and document organization.

• Familiarize yourself with internal processes and seek ways to enhance efficiency.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, business, economics, mathematics, statistics, data analytics, or a related field is preferred.

• Robust quantitative and numerical skills.

• Proficiency in handling financial information, calculations, percentages, trends, and large datasets.

• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.

• Capability to clearly explain analyses and tailor communication to varied audiences.

• Strong interpersonal skills.

• Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to follow-through.

• Proficiency in Excel/Google Sheets, including formulas, data manipulation, and analysis.

• Familiarity with AI tools such as ChatGPT or Claude, with the discernment to validate outputs.

• No prior industry experience necessary.

• Coursework or an internship in finance, accounting, or a related field is advantageous.

• Experience with financial systems like QuickBooks or NetSuite is a plus.
