This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Michigan.
• Serve as the technical authority for the program.
• Perform desktop verifications of projects.
• Ensure Trade Ally compliance with program requirements, Department of Energy guidelines, and relevant state regulations.
• Verify that program designs align with actual installation protocols and minimum measurement standards.
• Create and deliver technical training resources for both internal and external stakeholders.
• Act as the technical representative for the organization in collaborations with partner programs, clients, customers, contractors, and technical boards/forums.
• Provide guidance and training to Trade Allies.
• Comprehend evaluation and project risks and formulate strategies for effective communication.
• Execute quality control on complex measure and modeling operations.
• Establish protocols for the interpretation of specifications, guidelines, manuals, and technical requirements.
• Offer building science adjustments to contractor measures.
• Record observations on project scope, planning, and the effectiveness of products/services.
• Review documents for technical precision and compliance with sound building science practices.
• Participate in mandatory program meetings and training sessions.
• A minimum of 5 years of relevant industry experience is required (e.g., HVAC, electrical, residential construction, building maintenance, general contracting, etc.).
• A Bachelor's degree in Building Science or a related field is preferred.
• Strong understanding of building science and its applications is essential.
• BPI Building Analyst Professional (BA-P) certification or the ability to obtain BA-P certification within the first 60 days of employment is required.
• Outstanding communication, organizational, mathematical, and documentation abilities.
• Exceptional attention to detail is a must.
• A high school diploma is required.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office is necessary.
• Experience with Salesforce is preferred.
• Knowledge of Energy Star, AHRI, BPI Standards, and NREL Standard Work Specifications is advantageous.
• Authorization to work in the country where the position is located without employer sponsorship or assistance is mandatory.
• Successful completion of pre-employment checks is required.
• If applicable, must meet all DOT qualification criteria and adhere to relevant transportation regulations.
