This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Virginia.
• Act as the primary coordination hub for the deployment of network infrastructure at new data center construction sites, from initial cabling to Production Ready (PR).
• Take ownership of the New Build Deployment Tracker for designated locations.
• Facilitate weekly coordination meetings for New Build projects with cross-functional and internal teams.
• Monitor dependencies across various network layers.
• Synchronize construction and network timelines while integrating multiple scheduling sources.
• Lead or co-lead New Build discussions from the cable start phase.
• Provide weekly program updates outlining risks, milestones achieved, and notable upcoming dates.
• Serve as a liaison between Construction Managers, Deployment Engineers, Connectivity Engineers, and supporting teams.
• Persuade partners to establish and adhere to deadlines.
• Manage SEV creation and escalation for scheduling risks and obstacles.
• Oversee network infrastructure deployment across 2 to 4 simultaneous sites.
• Monitor hardware delivery SLAs, logistics for materials, warehouse locations, shipping, and upstream dependencies.
• Comprehend and manage variations between different building types.
• Supervise and drive the resolution of deployment obstacles.
• Identify scheduling risks utilizing SLA back-off calculations and hardware delivery timelines.
• Develop and manage SEVs for deployment challenges.
• Communicate the impact of timelines and any revised schedules.
• Escalate issues to leadership when commitments are not fulfilled.
• Contribute to the standardization of templates across various building types.
• Conduct reviews to gather lessons learned and identify recurring gaps in the deployment process.
• Mentor and train incoming Deployment Engineers through reverse shadowing and milestone sessions.
• Strong grasp of data center network infrastructure and production network layers.
• Familiarity with network deployment processes such as rack & stack, provisioning, circuit audits, device scanning, and activation/undrain workflows.
• Knowledge of material logistics, including hardware delivery SLAs, BOM management, warehouse operations, and vendor coordination.
• Proficient in project tracking tools.
• Hands-on experience with AI tools and agentic frameworks for workflow automation and reporting.
• Demonstrated ability to influence without direct authority across multiple cross-functional teams.
• Comfortable navigating political dynamics within organizations while asserting ownership of network deployment milestones.
• Capable of operating independently in ambiguous, high-pressure settings with tight schedules and frequent remediation cycles.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to simplify complex multi-site status into clear updates for leadership.
• Proven track record of ensuring accountability and following up on at-risk milestones.
• 5 to 8 years of progressive experience in project or program management within data center construction, network infrastructure, telecommunications, or critical facility deployment.
• Experience managing projects in the $1M to $10M range with multiple concurrent workstreams and cross-functional dependencies.
• Direct experience in data center construction phases including foundation, cable start, TFO, commissioning, and network turn-up.
• Experience collaborating with MSPs and field operations teams in a data center setting.
• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Telecommunications, Computer Science, or a related technical field — or equivalent professional experience (8+ years in data center/network deployment).
• Ability to obtain site access badges and successfully pass background checks for data center facilities.
• Willingness to support critical deployment milestones outside of standard working hours.
