This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Virginia.
• Take ownership of the New Build Deployment Tracker for designated buildings, monitoring milestones from Cable Ready to Production Ready.
• Lead weekly New Build coordination meetings with cross-functional and internal teams.
• Monitor dependencies across various network layers.
• Integrate construction and network schedules, ensuring alignment among multiple scheduling sources.
• Facilitate or co-facilitate New Build calls commencing at cable start for data centers under construction.
• Provide weekly program updates that highlight risks, milestone achievements, and upcoming milestone dates.
• Act as the liaison between Construction Managers, Deployment Engineers, Connectivity Engineers, and supporting teams.
• Persuade cross-functional partners to provide and commit to specific dates.
• Manage SEV creation and escalation for schedule risks and cross-team obstacles.
• Oversee network infrastructure deployment across 2–4 concurrent sites.
• Monitor hardware delivery SLAs, manage material logistics, warehouse locations, shipping, and upstream dependencies.
• Comprehend and manage variances between different building types.
• Track and drive the resolution of deployment obstacles.
• Identify schedule risks using SLA back-off calculations and hardware delivery timelines.
• Generate and manage SEVs for deployment obstacles.
• Communicate timeline impacts and updated timelines effectively.
• Escalate issues to leadership when cross-functional commitments are unmet.
• Contribute to the standardization of templates across different building types.
• Conduct lessons-learned reviews to identify recurring gaps in the deployment process.
• Mentor and train new DEMs through reverse shadowing and milestone sessions.
• Strong knowledge of data center network infrastructure and production network layers.
• Familiarity with network deployment processes, including rack & stack, provisioning, circuit audits, device scanning, and activation/undrain workflows.
• Understanding of material logistics involving hardware delivery SLAs, BOM management, warehouse operations, and vendor coordination.
• Proficiency in project tracking tools.
• Hands-on experience utilizing AI tools and agentic frameworks for workflow automation and reporting.
• Proven capability to influence without authority across multiple cross-functional teams.
• Comfortable navigating political dynamics within organizations.
• Ability to work independently in ambiguous, high-pressure environments with tight schedules and frequent remediation cycles.
• Exceptional communication skills with the ability to simplify complex multi-site status into clear reports for leadership.
• Proven history of driving accountability when milestones are at risk.
• 5–8 years of progressive experience in project/program management within data center construction, network infrastructure, telecommunications, or critical facility deployment.
• Experience managing projects in the $1M–$10M range with multiple concurrent workstreams and cross-functional dependencies.
• Direct experience with data center construction phases, including foundation, cable start, TFO, commissioning, and network turn-up.
• Experience collaborating with MSPs and field operations teams in a data center setting.
• Prior experience in hyperscale data center environments is strongly preferred.
• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Telecommunications, Computer Science, or a related technical field — or equivalent professional experience (8+ years in data center/network deployment).
• Ability to obtain site access badges and pass background checks for data center facilities.
• Willingness to support critical deployment milestones outside of standard hours.
• Strong dedication to fostering an inclusive and collaborative work environment.
• Travel required: 15–30% to data center campuses for site visits and/or workshops.
