Budget Analyst

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Tennessee.

📋 Description

• Analyze clinical trial protocols from a financial standpoint

• Prepare budgets for clinical trials

• Generate new budgets in Excel utilizing Sarah Cannon's cost and charge data

• Evaluate clinical trial protocols and provide comprehensive counteroffers to the Sponsors’ initial budgets

• Engage in budget negotiations with Sponsors/CROs to secure advantageous outcomes for Sarah Cannon

• Build and sustain business relationships for future negotiations

• Keep executive management informed with updates regarding assigned budgets

• Coordinate with clinical staff, management, and other parties to clarify protocol details, standard care, billable items, and other budget-related intricacies

• Deliver budget proposals to executive management

• Execute additional duties as assigned

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree is mandatory

• Minimum of 1 year of experience applying fundamental financial principles, Microsoft Excel, and other data management tools

• At least 1 year of experience in budget negotiation

• Expertise in Microsoft Excel, including advanced features such as VLOOKUP, SUMIF, and other complex formulas

• Understanding of clinical research and/or medical terminology

• Functional knowledge of clinical trials is preferred

• Strong analytical decision-making abilities

• Capable of project management

• Excellent negotiation and professional communication skills

• Must reside in the US
