This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
β’ Develop the brand strategy and campaign timeline for the title, ensuring alignment with its KPIs and platform launch schedules.
β’ Create a social-first content strategy that encourages sharing of the game. Identify key moments, characters, and in-game elements with high meme potential, and provide briefs for content that effectively utilizes them across appropriate platforms and communities.
β’ Serve as the primary marketing liaison for the IP holders and licensors involved in the project. Ensure all creative adheres to brand guidelines and approval processes, obtain timely sign-offs, and manage cultural and brand sensitivities with care.
β’ Draft and enhance creative briefs for art, graphic design, and video to ensure every asset aligns with both the game's brand identity and the standards of the licensed IP.
β’ Obtain first-party support (Nintendo, PlayStation, Xbox) and establish marketing partnerships, demonstrating a strong understanding of console showcase, storefront, and feature mechanics.
β’ Keep developers and internal stakeholders (e.g., Production) informed by sharing budgets, plans, and performance updates proactively, and by facilitating necessary sign-offs.
β’ Onboard and coordinate vendors across PR, social media, influencer engagement, and storefronts to ensure they have the required assets, brand guidelines, and licensor criteria for execution.
β’ Manage the creation of impactful marketing assets in collaboration with external contributors and agencies.
β’ Oversee marketing initiatives, including showcase submissions, first-party opportunities, pre-release excitement, announcements, and post-launch community engagement.
β’ Minimum of 5 years in game marketing or publishing, with a proven record of leading console launches for cozy, casual, or family-oriented titles.
β’ A deep understanding of the cozy and wholesome audience: their gaming preferences, community engagement, and the types of content that resonate within those spaces.
β’ Practical experience in developing social-first campaigns and shareable, meme-oriented content that has demonstrably increased audience engagement.
β’ Direct experience in marketing licensed IP, including managing relationships with licensors, navigating approval workflows, and ensuring compliance with brand guidelines, alongside comfort in addressing cultural sensitivities related to an IP.
β’ Strong familiarity with Nintendo, PlayStation, and Xbox platform programs, storefronts, and showcase procedures.
β’ Proven capability to translate strategic objectives into clear creative briefs that effectively align internal teams, external partners, and licensors.
β’ Excellent organizational skills for coordinating cross-functional teams and external vendors.
β’ Solid understanding of success metrics and audience behaviors across PR, social media, influencer, and digital storefront channels.
β’ Ability to operate both strategically and hands-on in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
