This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada, +1 more state.
• Take charge of brand design projects from the initial creative brief to final delivery with minimal supervision.
• Create high-quality creative materials for web, campaigns, events, social media, presentations, product marketing, and internal communications.
• Thoughtfully apply and enhance Tailscale's visual identity across various formats and channels.
• Develop reusable templates, design systems, and creative processes to boost consistency and efficiency.
• Collaborate closely with Growth, Web, Product Marketing, Content, and Developer Relations to provide a unified customer experience.
• Present design ideas and the reasoning behind them to stakeholders, incorporating feedback thoughtfully.
• Manage multiple projects while consistently delivering refined, production-ready outputs.
• Share ideas that enhance the quality, scalability, and effectiveness of creative endeavors.
• A minimum of 3 years of professional experience in brand, marketing, or visual design.
• A strong portfolio that showcases exceptional design fundamentals: color theory, accessibility, typography, layout, and storytelling.
• Proficiency in Figma and Adobe Creative Cloud.
• Experience in designing for digital marketing, websites, campaigns, and brand systems.
• A deep understanding of production-ready design in both digital and print formats.
• Outstanding communication and presentation abilities.
• Capability to handle multiple projects and priorities with minimal oversight.
• Experience working collaboratively across functions with marketers, writers, developers, and other designers.
• Strong attention to detail, maintaining a high standard for quality and consistency.
• Comfortable in providing and receiving constructive feedback on design.
• Proactively seeks ways to enhance processes, improve project organization, and facilitate effective collaboration through thoughtful suggestions.
• Naturally curious, with a desire to learn about the technical aspects of networking.
