Bodily Injury Claims Team Lead

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Provide guidance and technical support regarding claims to a claims manager.

• Supervise the activities of the Commercial Transportation adjusting staff.

• Balance management duties with individual claims responsibilities when workload demands assistance.

• Alternate between claims management and providing coaching and feedback.

• Establish and uphold best practices for claims intake, investigation, evaluation, settlement, and recovery.

• Ensure the team aligns with client and customer expectations regarding the claims process.

• Act as a resource for escalated claims issues.

• Promote a positive workplace, encourage teamwork, and support professional growth and development.

• Attract, recruit, retain, and train staff with assistance from the leadership team.

• Prepare and deliver detailed claims reports, metrics, and analyses to clients and customers.

• Advise clients on trends in claims and strategies for loss mitigation.

• Serve as a backup/leader in the absence of the Manager/Director.

• Manage onboarding tasks, access provision, and cultural immersion for new hires.

• Function as a subject matter expert for initial inquiries, escalations, and roundtable discussions.

• Manage increased reserve and payment authority and assist with moderate reviews.

• Identify relevant topics and trends for team meetings and Elevated Claims Experience Workshops.

• Champion a customer-centric approach as a Customer Obsession Champion.

⛳️ Requirements

• Candidates must reside in an eligible U.S. state during their employment.

• We are unable to hire candidates located in California, Alaska, Hawaii, U.S. territories, or outside the United States.

• A minimum of 5 years of experience in insurance claims, specifically in bodily injury and property damage.

• At least 3 years of leadership experience, ideally in a remote management capacity.

• Proficient with technology and capable of evolving claims systems and processes to enhance efficiency and outcomes.

• Proven commitment to quality, accuracy, and meticulous attention to detail.

• High integrity, strong ethics, and a solid sense of accountability when handling confidential and sensitive information.

• Active adjuster license: resident-state license where applicable, or a Designated Home State (DHS) license.

• Willingness to obtain any additional necessary licenses within 60 days, including state testing.
