This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Zambia.

📋 Description

• Perform daily tasks in support of a Sandvik Rock Tool Supply Performance Contract.

• Ensure adherence to operational procedures, policies, work scopes, and contractual obligations.

• Deliver rock tools and associated products to specified locations.

• Collect worn and damaged rock tools from drilling sites and transport them to the surface.

• Assess the condition and failures of rock tools and communicate findings with operators.

• Maintain circuit stock levels on each rig by replenishing supplies from the buffer store.

• Conduct failure analyses on defective products and report discrepancies to the Contract Supervisor and/or Sales Representative.

• Utilize the Sandvik Report App to document and disseminate operational data.

• Sort, gauge, cut back, grind, and color-code used drill bits.

• Refurbish blocked and bent rods to meet operational standards.

• Work 12-hour shifts with reasonable overtime as required.

⛳️ Requirements

• Grade 12 Certificate or its equivalent qualification.

• Craft Certificate of Competence, Advanced Technician Certificate, or an equivalent qualification.

• At least 5 years of experience with demonstrated proficiency in the aforementioned field.

• Basic computer literacy.

• Proficiency in English.

• Full physical and medical certification to work in a mining environment.

• Expertise in analyzing mechanical failures and providing recommendations for solutions.

• Technical skills for refurbishing rock tools (grinding, cutting, straightening).

• Understanding of stock management principles.

• Capability to operate specialized software for reporting and data sharing.

• Strong communication skills for effective interaction with operators and supervisors.

• Previous experience working in underground settings around heavy machinery.

• Ability to successfully complete a pre-employment medical evaluation.

• Legal authorization to reside and work in Zambia.

• Valid manual driver's license.

• Current site inductions are highly beneficial.

• Familiarity with on-site service contracts, underground mining operations, and Sandvik drilling products is highly regarded.
