This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.
• Manage, coordinate, maintain, and monitor all Business Development initiatives within the Biometrics and Pharmacovigilance division.
• Supervise, coordinate, oversee, and track all current bids, proposals, and departmental change orders.
• Assess proposals and budgets according to SME input requirements and establish triage criteria in collaboration with SMEs.
• Create budgets and proposal text that align with established standards when SME input is unnecessary.
• Prepare preliminary budgets and proposal text for review by SMEs when their input is essential.
• Address RFPs and RFIs, and craft bids, proposals, statements of work, presentations, and supplementary materials.
• Collaborate with Account Directors, operational teams, and third-party vendors to integrate solutions into comprehensive proposals and statements of work.
• Recognize proposal trends that may necessitate modifications to departmental strategy.
• Edit, proofread, rewrite, and revise documents for clarity and consistency.
• Set priorities and target dates to ensure adherence to proposal deadlines.
• Collect information and tailor content with the assistance of subject matter experts.
• Address both routine and complex inquiries, seeking assistance when necessary.
• Offer training and mentoring on budget tools and proposals to colleagues in Biometrics and Pharmacovigilance.
• Maintain standard proposal and bid defense presentations.
• Keep the departmental RFI Library updated.
• Carry out additional responsibilities as assigned by the supervisor.
• Strong understanding of Biometrics and Pharmacovigilance operations.
• Excellent planning, management, monitoring, scheduling, and evaluation skills.
• Superior written and verbal communication abilities.
• Strong interpersonal skills to work effectively in a dynamic, fast-paced, and deadline-driven team.
• Capacity to manage multiple short-term tasks and project deliverables within strict deadlines.
• Ability to apply sound judgment and make independent decisions.
• Exceptional self-motivation skills.
• Proficiency in all MS-Office applications, particularly Microsoft Word.
• Advanced skills in Excel.
• Capability to train other team members.
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in CRO operations related to Data Management, Biostatistics, or Pharmacovigilance.
• Bachelor’s Degree required, with a preference for Life Sciences, Communications, Journalism, or Marketing.
• Experience in drafting bids and proposals within a CRO setting or in the pharma/biotech outsourcing sector is preferred.
• Familiarity with the CRO/Pharmaceutical industry.
• Understanding of sales support activities.
• Strong grasp of study design, project management, and operational requirements for effective study implementation.
• Ability to advise and interact with all levels of management.
