Billing Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Colombia.

📋 Description

• Take charge of the complete billing process, ensuring the accuracy of invoicing and credit memo runs through auditing.

• Oversee subscription billing via Stripe, which includes managing recurring payments, plans, discounts, and tax settings.

• Reconcile transaction records and address any billing discrepancies that arise.

• Manage chargebacks, refunds, and unsuccessful payments within the Stripe platform.

• Collaborate with Engineering or Product teams on integration efforts.

• Maintain the aging report and accurately apply credit memos.

• Update customer accounts for any plan modifications and ensure the cleanliness of customer data.

• Address billing inquiries and work alongside Customer Success to enhance the customer experience.

• Generate billing and payment reports.

• Identify opportunities for process enhancements and utilize AI tools for automating review, reconciliation, and reporting tasks.

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Billing Specialist, AR Analyst, or in a similar capacity.

• Proficient hands-on experience with Stripe (dashboard, subscriptions, API tools).

• Understanding of financial regulations and GAAP standards.

• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.

• High level of proficiency in Excel or Google Sheets.

• Familiarity with Workday is a plus.

• Strong organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail.

• Effective communication skills and a strong inclination towards customer service.

• Practical experience in utilizing AI tools for workflow automation or optimization.

• Proven experience harnessing AI technologies to enhance workflows, improve decision-making, or foster innovation.

• Bonus: Experience in SaaS or e-commerce, as well as with other payment gateways.

• Bonus: Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting, or equivalent professional experience.
