Billing Operations Associate

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alabama, +40 more states.

📋 Description

• Take full ownership of the entire billing lifecycle for Instacart's retail partner portfolio.

• Accurately execute monthly billing cycles in a timely manner.

• Calculate, generate, and send invoices through email and third-party platforms like Ariba.

• Process credit memos, debit memos, and refunds based on approved requests.

• Develop and maintain Oracle workbooks for new and modified contracts.

• Review commercial contracts to ascertain billing requirements.

• Verify billing language in collaboration with senior team members when necessary.

• Conduct peer reviews of invoice calculations.

• Address billing inquiries and appropriately escalate complex disputes.

• Assist with audit requests and carry out ad hoc projects.

• Adhere to established SOPs and internal controls to ensure compliant billing operations.

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in billing operations, accounts receivable, order-to-cash, or a related field.

• Basic understanding of invoicing processes, ERP workflows, and accounts receivable fundamentals.

• Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage high-volume workloads accurately.

• Advanced proficiency in Google Sheets and Microsoft Excel.

• Familiarity with Oracle or comparable ERP systems.

• Knowledge of Salesforce or similar CRM platforms.

• Strong and professional communication skills with a capacity to work across functions.

• Capability to follow established processes and controls while knowing when to escalate issues.

• Self-motivated individual who takes initiative and fulfills commitments.

• Experience with BI or data tools such as Alteryx or SQL is preferred.

• Familiarity or aptitude with AI tools is preferred.

• Knowledge of marketplace, subscription, or advertising billing models is preferred.

• Exposure to Finance, Legal, or Sales teams in a cross-functional role is preferred.
