Bilingual Third-Party Collections Agent

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Oversee collection activities for designated third-party portfolios, which include financial loan accounts.

• Engage in professional collection calls with overdue customers and negotiate payment plans in accordance with established client guidelines and risk parameters.

• Utilize advanced collection strategies to address delinquent accounts while prioritizing a customer-centric approach.

• Evaluate account risk and escalate accounts that necessitate further action.

• Precisely document collection activities, account updates, payment promises, and payment arrangements in collection systems.

• Employ negotiation, objection-handling, and problem-solving skills to navigate challenging discussions.

• Ensure adherence to regulatory requirements, client expectations, and industry best practices.

• Meet individual collection targets and assist in achieving departmental performance objectives.

• Foster team success through collaboration, knowledge sharing, and operational excellence.

• Undertake additional collection responsibilities as required.

⛳️ Requirements

• At least 5 years of experience with a third-party collection agency.

• Previous experience with Schedule A bank portfolios is highly preferred.

• Proven success in managing high-performing frontline collection teams and meeting performance targets.

• Strong track record of commitment to compliance and quality standards.

• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, capable of conducting effective collection discussions.

• Strong negotiation abilities, with the capacity to influence outcomes and secure payment commitments.

• Excellent organizational and time-management skills, capable of juggling multiple priorities.

• Proficient computer skills, including experience with Microsoft Excel and Outlook.

• Ability to adapt and succeed in a fast-paced, results-driven environment.
