This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois, +3 more states.
• Oversee the regional operational execution of the Technical Quality of Acceptance strategy throughout Latin America, the Caribbean, and Mexico.
• Lead, mentor, and cultivate a high-performing team of operational experts, including managers and specialists in country acceptance, analytics, PSP-related acceptance, and referral investigations.
• Establish clear objectives, manage performance and capacity, and enhance technical and operational capabilities.
• Oversee the comprehensive diagnosis and resolution of acceptance issues across merchants, POS, e-commerce, ATM environments, gateways, or orchestrators, PSPs, processors, and acquirers.
• Coordinate specialized resources and implement problem-management strategies, including root-cause analysis, ownership of remediation, progress tracking, recovery validation, and lessons learned.
• Lead intricate cross-functional regional initiatives aimed at bolstering technical acceptance resilience, enhancing monitoring and detection, eliminating recurring failure modes, and supporting stability in technical acceptance.
• Utilize project management methodologies that encompass scope, milestones, dependencies, risks, governance, stakeholder communications, and delivery plans.
• Forge partnerships across Networks, Operations, Sales, Market Development, and Strategy teams; influence decision-making and foster alignment.
• Set and maintain KPIs, reporting structures, playbooks, escalation pathways, operational controls, and documentation.
• Represent the regional Technical Quality of Acceptance function in governance forums, launch-readiness reviews, roadmap discussions, and executive updates.
• Enhance team and stakeholder capabilities through training and knowledge sharing.
• Engage externally as needed to clarify technical issues, coordinate remediation efforts, or support strategic acceptance priorities.
• Approximately 15% travel required.
• High School Diploma, GED, or an equivalent certification.
• Minimum of 7 years of experience in technical acceptance, payment acquiring, merchant processing, payment operations, network operations, or payment technology.
• At least 5 years of experience in people leadership and performance management.
• Proficient in both Spanish and English.
• Successful candidates will be required to complete a Language Assessment.

• Preferred: Bachelor’s Degree.
• Preferred: 8+ years of experience in technical acceptance, payment acquiring, merchant processing, payment operations, network operations, or payment technology.
• Preferred: 6+ years of experience in people leadership and performance management.
• Experience with global payment networks, acquirers, merchant-services providers, processors, PSPs, gateways, payment-orchestration platforms, merchants, or ATM operators.
• Experience in leading regional or global programs involving acquirers, processors, PSPs, merchants, payment platforms, or other participants in the acceptance ecosystem.
• Familiarity with key players across North and Latin America, including insights into regional market conditions and payment infrastructure.
