This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.
• Oversee all facets of enrollment, reimbursement procedures, and service coordination for patients participating in the Patient Support Program.
• Serve as the main point of contact for all patient-related components of the program.
• Ensure timely enrollment of patients into the Patient Support Program.
• Provide both inbound and outbound telephone assistance, including maintenance and adherence calls.
• Collaborate with patients, insurers, and healthcare providers regarding documentation to maximize reimbursement coverage.
• Research public and private insurers and assist with employer escalations.
• Review patient statuses, medical charts, prior therapies, and tests to aid physicians with coverage documentation.
• Offer therapy guidelines and program education to both patients and healthcare providers.
• Gather information and perform financial eligibility assessments for patients.
• Coordinate services by liaising with physicians' offices, pharmacies, infusion/injection service providers, and other stakeholders.
• Monitor patient services to ensure prompt and ongoing access to therapy.
• Review, evaluate, and confirm the accuracy and completeness of patient information.
• Uphold case-management service levels and program KPIs.
• Ensure accurate patient and clinic data is maintained in the CRM system.
• Work collaboratively with internal patient support teams.
• Identify coverage challenges and escalate information to the PSP Supervisor.
• Follow up and advocate until coverage decisions are finalized.
• Uphold the confidentiality of patient, client, and corporate information.
• Execute additional responsibilities as assigned by the Manager.
• Post-secondary education coupled with experience in healthcare is advantageous.
• Bilingual proficiency in English and French is mandatory.
• Experience in reimbursement billing, special access, the appeals process, and providing support and consultation is beneficial.
• Familiarity with private and public reimbursement frameworks, systems, and processes is a plus.
• Ability to work from home and possess a quiet, private home office space is required.
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills are essential.
• Strong analytical abilities, including the capacity to interpret regulations and legislation.
• Advanced understanding of the pharmaceutical distribution sector.
