This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.
• Evaluate and assist members with their healthcare requirements.
• Aid members in navigating the Canadian healthcare system.
• Organize appointments, consultations, diagnostic tests, treatments, and follow-up care.
• Interact with members, healthcare providers, insurers, case managers, and other relevant parties.
• Advocate for members and pinpoint suitable healthcare resources.
• Recognize barriers to care and formulate effective solutions.
• Clarify healthcare processes, available resources, and subsequent steps to members.
• Ensure accurate and timely documentation is maintained.
• Handle multiple cases and priorities while fulfilling service expectations.
• Collaborate effectively with the wider healthcare team.
• Engage in process improvements and service enhancements.
• Undertake additional duties as required.
• Active RN or RPN registration in good standing with the relevant regulatory college.
• At least 3 years of nursing experience.
• Comprehensive understanding of the Canadian healthcare system.
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong organizational and time management capabilities.
• Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
• Proficient computer and technology skills.
• Ability to work autonomously in a remote setting.
• Capability to maintain confidentiality while working from home.
• Compassionate, member-centric approach.
• Ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines.
• Dedicated private workspace is necessary.
• Reliable high-speed internet is mandatory.
• Successful completion of pre-employment screening is required.
• Preferred: experience in disability management, case management, care coordination, or healthcare navigation.
• Preferred: experience in mental health or additional mental health training.
• Preferred: background working with insurers, employers, healthcare providers, or interdisciplinary teams.
• Preferred: experience with performance measures or service metrics.
• Bilingual proficiency in French and English is considered an asset.
• Full-time, permanent position.
• Fully remote work arrangement.
• Monday to Friday schedule.
• No weekend or statutory holiday shifts currently required.
• Rotating shifts: 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. and 1:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.
• Dedicated private workspace is required for remote work.
