Bilingual, French/English Crisis Helpline Responder

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Gabon, +1 more country.

📋 Description

• Answer crisis hotline calls with compassion and professionalism.

• Offer evidence-based crisis counseling and de-escalation assistance.

• Perform risk assessments and coordinate emergency services or referrals as needed.

• Keep precise and confidential records of calls.

• Create customized crisis management and safety plans.

• Ensure seamless transitions during shift changes.

• Commit each shift solely to Intellect crisis support services.

⛳️ Requirements

• Master’s degree in Counselling, Counselling Psychology, or Clinical Psychology.

• 1–3 years of experience in a helpline role (whether paid or volunteer).

• Demonstrated capability to handle high-risk situations.

• Strong emotional resilience and the ability to make calm decisions under pressure.

• Proficiency in both French and English.

• Background in mental health or emergency services is preferred.

• Training in Crisis Intervention or Suicide Prevention is preferred.
