This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.
• Oversee a varied customer territory across different market segments by implementing Avantor solutions and executing sales strategies that promote revenue growth and profitability.
• Discover and cultivate new business opportunities through proactive prospecting, pipeline management, and the preparation and presentation of customer proposals.
• Enhance existing customer relationships through strategies focused on retention and expansion.
• Employ a consultative sales technique to evaluate customer needs, suggest products and services, and convey Avantor’s value proposition.
• Establish enduring customer relationships that encourage satisfaction, loyalty, and business growth.
• Utilize tools, resources, marketing initiatives, and sales processes to optimize outcomes.
• Collaborate with sales leadership to formulate and implement territory strategies.
• Work alongside supplier representatives to enhance product knowledge, secure competitive pricing, and boost account profitability.
• Adhere to Avantor’s values and Code of Conduct.
• Carry out other tasks as assigned.
• A bachelor's degree in a scientific field or an equivalent mix of education and relevant experience.
• 3–5 years of experience in a complex, dynamic sales environment with multiple stakeholders and solution-based selling is preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Capacity to collaborate with customers, supplier representatives, management, internal specialists, and peers.
• Ability to confidently engage with business owners and key decision-makers.
• Self-driven with robust time and territory management skills.
• Exceptional analytical and strategic selling skills.
• Aptitude for understanding customer operations and identifying value-added solution opportunities.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications; CRM experience is an asset.
• Bilingual in French and English, both written and spoken, is required.
• Basic English proficiency is necessary for communication across Canada and with Avantor locations where English is the primary business language.
• A valid driver's license in good standing.
• Willingness to travel occasionally for customer meetings and events.
