This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.
• Promote and consultatively sell Avantor’s range of laboratory products and services within the Science Education sector.
• Manage a varied customer territory spanning multiple market segments.
• Implement sales strategies aimed at driving revenue growth and enhancing profitability.
• Identify and cultivate new business opportunities through prospecting, pipeline management, and persuasive proposals.
• Expand existing customer relationships using retention and growth strategies.
• Evaluate customer needs and recommend suitable products and services.
• Establish long-term customer relationships that promote satisfaction, loyalty, and business expansion.
• Utilize tools, resources, marketing initiatives, and sales processes to optimize outcomes.
• Collaborate with sales leadership to formulate and execute territory strategies.
• Work alongside supplier representatives to enhance product knowledge, secure competitive pricing, and boost account profitability.
• Adhere to Avantor’s values and Code of Conduct.
• Carry out additional duties as assigned.
• Bachelor’s degree in a scientific field or a combination of education and relevant experience.
• 3–5 years of experience in a complex, dynamic sales environment involving various stakeholders and solution-based selling is preferred.
• Experience in B2B sales, especially in distribution, laboratory, research, or science sectors, is desirable.
• Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Capacity to collaborate effectively with customers, supplier representatives, management, internal specialists, and colleagues.
• Confidence in engaging with business owners and key decision-makers.
• Self-driven with robust time and territory management skills.
• Exceptional analytical and strategic selling skills.
• Ability to comprehend customer operations and identify value-added solution opportunities.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
• CRM experience is considered an advantage.
• Bilingual in French and English, both written and spoken, is required.
• Basic English proficiency is necessary for communication across Canada and with Avantor locations.
• Valid driver's license in good standing.
• Willingness to travel occasionally for customer meetings and events.
