Bilingual Collections Specialist, English & Spanish

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Mexico, +1 more country.

📋 Description

• Manage inbound and outbound calls related to collections in a professional and efficient manner.

• Reach out to customers with overdue accounts and strive for suitable resolutions.

• Negotiate payment plans in line with established guidelines.

• Address objections, resistance, and challenging customer interactions with professionalism.

• Ensure consistent and appropriate follow-up with clients.

• Accurately record account interactions, payment agreements, and any updates.

• Adhere to all relevant collections policies and compliance standards.

• Safeguard customer confidentiality and protect sensitive account details.

• Aim to meet both individual and team collections performance objectives.

• Provide a professional customer experience while working towards account resolution.

• Complete the resume evaluation, pre-screen questionnaire, one-way video interview, and live interviews.

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 1 year experience in BPO, contact center, or professional collections.

• Proven experience in managing inbound and outbound collections calls.

• Background in dealing with delinquent or overdue accounts.

• Experience in negotiating payment arrangements or settling outstanding debts.

• Familiarity with FDCPA and U.S. collections compliance regulations.

• Proficient in English communication skills.

• Proficient in Spanish communication skills.

• Experience in achieving individual or team collections KPIs.

• Preferred experience in third-party collections.

• Previous experience working remotely or from home is preferred.

• Must reside in Mexico or Colombia permanently.

• Must possess the necessary equipment and internet connection for dependable remote work.

• Windows 11 PC is required (Mac is not supported).

• Minimum of 16 GB RAM.

• i5 processor or higher is needed.

• An additional monitor is required.

• A webcam is necessary.

• Wired USB headset is essential.

• Stable and reliable wired Ethernet internet connection is required.

• Backup power solution is needed.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Teams / Office 365 is required.
