Bilingual Collections Specialist, English & Spanish

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Colombia, +1 more country.

📋 Description

• Manage both inbound and outbound collections calls with professionalism and efficiency.

• Reach out to customers regarding overdue accounts and strive for suitable resolutions.

• Negotiate payment plans following established guidelines.

• Address objections, resistance, and challenging customer interactions in a professional manner.

• Ensure consistent and appropriate follow-up with customers.

• Accurately record account interactions, payment arrangements, and updates.

• Adhere to relevant collections policies and compliance standards.

• Uphold customer confidentiality and safeguard sensitive account information.

• Aim for both individual and team collections performance goals.

• Provide a professional customer experience while working towards account resolution.

• Complete the recruitment process, which includes reviewing resumes, answering pre-screen questionnaires, participating in one-way video interviews, and attending live interviews.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 1 year of experience in BPO, contact centers, or professional collections.

• Proficient in handling inbound and outbound collections calls.

• Experience dealing with delinquent or overdue accounts.

• Proven track record in negotiating payment arrangements or resolving outstanding balances.

• Familiarity with FDCPA and compliance requirements for U.S. collections.

• Excellent communication skills in English.

• Proficient communication skills in Spanish.

• Experience working towards individual or team collections KPIs.

• Windows 11 PC; Mac systems are not supported.

• At least 16 GB of RAM.

• i5 processor or better.

• An additional monitor is required.

• A webcam is necessary.

• Reliable wired USB headset is mandatory.

• Stable and dependable wired Ethernet internet connection is needed.

• Backup power solution is required.

• Familiarity with Microsoft Teams / Office 365 is essential.

• Must be permanently based in Mexico or Colombia.

• Must possess the necessary equipment and internet connection for dependable remote work.
