Bilingual Collections Specialist, English & Spanish

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Colombia, +1 more country.

📋 Description

• Manage inbound and outbound collection calls with professionalism and efficiency.

• Reach out to customers regarding overdue accounts and strive for suitable resolutions.

• Negotiate payment plans in line with established protocols.

• Professionally address objections, resistance, and challenging customer interactions.

• Ensure consistent and appropriate follow-up with customers.

• Accurately record account interactions, payment arrangements, and updates.

• Adhere to all relevant collections policies and compliance regulations.

• Safeguard customer confidentiality and protect sensitive account information.

• Aim to achieve both individual and team collections performance targets.

• Provide a professional customer experience while working towards account resolution.

• Complete the resume review, pre-screen questionnaire, one-way video interview, and live interviews.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 1 year of experience in BPO, contact center, or professional collections.

• Proficient in handling inbound and outbound collection calls.

• Experience dealing with delinquent or past-due accounts.

• Skilled in negotiating payment arrangements or resolving outstanding balances.

• Familiarity with FDCPA and U.S. collections compliance standards.

• Excellent communication skills in English.

• Proficient communication skills in Spanish.

• Experience working towards individual or team collections KPIs.

• Preferred experience in third-party collections.

• Previous remote or work-from-home experience is advantageous.

• Must reside permanently in Mexico or Colombia.

• Required equipment and internet connection for reliable remote work.

• Windows 11 PC required; Mac is not supported.

• Minimum 16 GB RAM.

• i5 processor or higher.

• Additional monitor needed.

• Webcam required.

• Wired USB headset is necessary.

• Stable, reliable wired Ethernet internet connection.

• Backup power solution needed.

• Microsoft Teams / Office 365 is required.
