Bilingual Collection Specialist – Impounds

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Arizona, +1 more state.

📋 Description

• Adhere to and ensure compliance with all company policies, procedures, and the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA).

• Facilitate payment arrangements with borrowers to secure commitments for payments and/or account reinstatement.

• Recommend strategies for borrowers to fulfill their obligations, propose alternative payment methods, and establish payment protocols.

• Assess accounts for special assistance options, including loan modifications and extensions, while collecting necessary information or documentation.

• Initiate and evaluate repossession activities to recover collateral.

• Precisely and professionally document account details and collection efforts.

• Conduct skip-tracing investigations utilizing database searches and system records to locate customers.

• Manage outbound and inbound calls using an auto-dialing or manual telephone system.

• Maintain satisfactory performance on an assigned queue, achieving or surpassing daily and monthly targets.

• Execute other assigned tasks as needed.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 3 years of experience in the collections industry, ideally within the subprime consumer lending sector.

• Strong communication, negotiation, and problem-solving abilities.

• Proficient in reading, interpreting, and applying federal, state, and local collections regulations.

• Capable of interacting with customers in a professional, tactful, and sensitive manner.

• Ability to excel in a fast-paced environment while working independently and collaboratively.

• Willingness to work a flexible schedule and overtime as required.

• High School Diploma or GED is mandatory.

• Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is essential.
