Bilingual Collection Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Arizona, +1 more state.

📋 Description

• Manage auto loan accounts that are 60 days past due.

• Record all collection efforts using loan servicing software.

• Adhere to company policies and procedures, as well as the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA).

• Negotiate payment plans with borrowers.

• Recommend strategies for borrowers to fulfill their obligations.

• Offer alternative payment options and set up payment procedures.

• Support borrowers in creating plans to retain their vehicles while satisfying loan requirements.

• Diligently and professionally log account information and collection actions.

• Employ skip tracing tools and reference materials to locate delinquent borrowers.

• Carry out additional duties as assigned.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 5 years of experience in the collections sector, ideally within the subprime consumer lending market.

• Experience with reinstatements is advantageous.

• Strong communication, negotiation, and problem-solving abilities.

• Capability to read, interpret, and apply federal, state, and local collections regulations.

• Proficient in interacting with customers in a professional, tactful, and sensitive manner.

• Ability to excel in a fast-paced work setting.

• Competent in working independently and collaboratively within a team.

• Willingness to work a flexible schedule and overtime as required.

• High School Diploma or GED is necessary.

• Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is mandatory.

• Understanding of FDCPA compliance is essential.

• Familiarity with loan servicing software is required.

• Experience with skip tracing tools and reference sources is needed.
