Bilingual Collection Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Arizona, +1 more state.

📋 Description

• Manage auto loan accounts that are 30-60 days overdue.

• Record all collection efforts using loan servicing software.

• Adhere to company policies and procedures, as well as the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA).

• Negotiate payment plans with borrowers, offering solutions to fulfill their obligations, suggesting alternative payment methods, and setting up payment arrangements.

• Support borrowers in developing strategies to retain their vehicles while meeting their loan commitments.

• Meticulously and professionally document account details and collection actions.

• Employ skip tracing tools and other resources to identify and locate delinquent borrowers.

• Carry out additional responsibilities as assigned.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 3 years of experience in the collections sector, ideally within the subprime consumer lending field.

• Strong communication, negotiation, and problem-solving abilities.

• Capability to read, interpret, and implement federal, state, and local collections regulations.

• Proficient in interacting with customers in a professional, tactful, and empathetic manner.

• Ability to excel in a fast-paced work setting and operate both independently and collaboratively.

• Willingness to work a flexible schedule and overtime as required.

• High School Diploma or GED is necessary.

• Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is mandatory.

• Must adhere to company policies, procedures, and the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA).
