Bilingual Collection Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Arizona, +1 more state.

📋 Description

• Manage auto loan accounts that are over 90 days past due.

• Record all collection efforts using loan servicing software.

• Adhere to and ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA).

• Negotiate payment plans with borrowers.

• Provide recommendations on how borrowers can fulfill their obligations.

• Suggest alternative payment options and set up payment procedures.

• Support borrowers in creating strategies to retain their vehicles while meeting loan commitments.

• Document account details and collection actions accurately and professionally.

• Employ skip tracing tools and resources to locate delinquent borrowers.

• Carry out additional tasks as assigned.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of experience in the collections industry, preferably in subprime consumer lending.

• Strong communication, negotiation, and problem-solving abilities.

• Capability to read, interpret, and apply federal, state, and local collection regulations.

• Proficiency in interacting with customers in a professional, tactful, and sensitive way.

• Ability to excel in a fast-paced environment and work both independently and collaboratively.

• Flexibility to work a variable schedule and overtime as required.

• High School Diploma or GED is mandatory.

• Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is essential.
