This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.
• Oversee all elements of patient enrollment, reimbursement processes, and coordination of services.
• Offer drug coverage assistance to both physicians and patients.
• Monitor and follow up on submissions for private and provincial drug-plan coverage.
• Ensure prompt access to prescribed therapies.
• Register patients in the Patient Support Program.
• Collaborate with patients, insurers, and physicians regarding reimbursement documentation.
• Research public and private insurers and support employer escalations.
• Review patient status, medical charts, previous treatments, and tests.
• Assist physicians with documentation for public and private coverage.
• Provide therapy guidelines and educational resources for the program.
• Conduct assessments for patient financial eligibility.
• Organize and monitor patient services.
• Report Adverse Events and Severe Adverse Events in accordance with approved SOPs.
• Maintain service levels in case management and adhere to program KPIs.
• Update the Customer Relationship Management (CRM) tool with pertinent patient and clinic information.
• Collaborate with internal patient support teams.
• Provide insights to the Program Manager on service quality, training, and other pertinent areas.
• Identify and escalate coverage challenges to program leadership.
• Complete timesheets, expense reports, mileage logs, CRM validations, and other documentation as required.
• Travel up to 30% as necessary within Quebec.
• Perform additional responsibilities as assigned by the Manager.
• A Bachelor’s degree is required.
• 2-3 years of experience in a Patient Support Program is essential.
• Proficiency in both English and French is mandatory.
• Experience with reimbursement billing, special access, the appeals process, and providing field-based reimbursement support and consultation is advantageous.
• Familiarity with the structure, systems, and processes of both private and public reimbursement is a plus.
• Experience in oncology or rare diseases is considered beneficial.
• Advanced understanding of the pharmaceutical distribution industry is required.
• Must be able to work remotely and possess a quiet, private home office environment.
• Strong analytical skills, including the ability to interpret regulations and legislation.
• Exceptional customer service, problem-solving, and conflict resolution abilities.
• Effective interpersonal communication skills.
• Proficient typing skills and competency in using various computer-based applications.
• A valid driver's license and access to a vehicle are necessary for travel up to 30% within Quebec.
