This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.
• Oversee all facets of patient enrollment, reimbursement procedures, and service coordination.
• Offer drug coverage assistance to both physicians and patients.
• Follow up on applications for private and provincial drug plan coverage.
• Ensure prompt access to prescribed therapies.
• Deliver ongoing patient support through effective communication and available resources.
• Register patients into the Patient Support Program.
• Collaborate with patients, insurers, and physicians regarding documentation for reimbursement coverage.
• Investigate both public and private insurers and address employer escalations.
• Review patient records, past therapies, and tests to aid physicians with coverage documentation.
• Provide therapy guidelines and educational resources about the program.
• Conduct assessments to determine patient financial eligibility.
• Coordinate and monitor patient services.
• Report Adverse Events and Severe Adverse Events following approved SOPs.
• Maintain case management service levels and program KPIs.
• Update the CRM tool with patient and clinic details.
• Collaborate with internal patient support teams.
• Liaise with and provide feedback to the Program Manager.
• Identify coverage challenges and escalate them to program management.
• Complete timesheets, expense reports, mileage, and CRM documentation.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by the Manager.
• A Bachelor’s degree.
• 2-3 years of experience in a Patient Support Program.
• Bilingualism in English and French is mandatory.
• Experience with reimbursement billing, special access, the appeals process, and field-based reimbursement support and consultation is advantageous.
• Familiarity with private and public reimbursement structures, systems, and processes is a plus.
• Experience in oncology or rare diseases is considered an asset.
• Advanced understanding of the pharmaceutical distribution sector.
• Must be capable of working from home and possess a quiet, private home office space.
• Strong analytical abilities, including the interpretation of regulations and legislation.
• Exceptional customer service, problem-solving, and conflict resolution skills.
• Effective interpersonal communication skills.
• Proficient typing skills and competent in various computer-based applications.
