This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Mexico.
• Oversee the satisfaction, growth, and retention of designated accounts.
• Discover new business prospects, including expedited services, new routes, northbound freight, and partial loads.
• Enhance client relationships and facilitate effective communication between customers and internal teams.
• Recognize competitor activities and service challenges, collaborating with senior leadership on corrective measures.
• Schedule and conduct in-person visits to customers at least 3–4 times a year, along with additional meetings as required.
• Foster relationships with key decision-makers.
• Act as the main liaison between clients and the Customer Service Department.
• Conduct monthly discussions with all house accounts.
• Maintain a minimum of 20 face-to-face account meetings monthly.
• Gain an understanding of clients’ purchasing, logistics, and planning processes.
• Keep an updated geographic directory for all accounts.
• Prepare and present On-Time Performance and Booking Compliance reports.
• Monitor Long-Term Agreement expiration dates and initiate renewals.
• Oversee route consistency and address service interruptions.
• Handle claim resolutions and escalate ongoing issues.
• Assist in collections for overdue accounts.
• Dedicate 50% or more of the time to in-person customer visits.
• Coordinate with Customer Service, Operations, and Finance to ensure seamless service delivery.
• Participate in operational meetings and provide client feedback.
• Comprehend profit margins and quoting procedures to support competitive pricing.
• Collaborate with the sales team on Share of Wallet initiatives.
• Achieve 100% retention of assigned house accounts, enhance freight volume, establish Vortex as the preferred choice for logistics solutions, and uphold account KPIs.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, International Trade, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related discipline (or equivalent work experience).
• 3 to 7 years of experience in materials, materials planning, logistics, or purchasing/procurement.
• Demonstrated success in maintaining and expanding B2B relationships.
• Experience with Mexican customs and international trade regulations is highly preferred.
• Automotive industry experience is a plus.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish is a must.
• Reliable vehicle required for weekly customer visits.
• Excellent interpersonal, networking, and presentation skills.
• Capability to make prompt, informed decisions under pressure.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Highly organized with attention to detail.
• Proactive, optimistic, and self-motivated work ethic.
• Willingness to travel as necessary for client meetings.
• Familiarity with CRM systems such as Salesforce or HubSpot.
• Understanding of freight forwarding, partial loads, and expedited freight services.
• Knowledge of EDI systems and performance reporting.
• Understanding of logistics and/or materials planning and purchasing in a manufacturing context.
• Must reside in Puebla, Puebla, Mexico.
• Availability Monday to Friday, from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
• Willingness to travel approximately 60% to meet with clients.
• Personal vehicle necessary for customer/client meetings.
