Biblical Counseling Online Adjunct – Graduate Program

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Exemplify excellence in teaching and learning.

• Distribute departmental communications according to established protocols.

• Ensure that instruction aligns with Liberty University’s Christian worldview and doctrinal principles.

• Develop faculty members who foster independent thought and critical discussions.

• Set appropriate course requirements and assess student progress through grading and consultations.

• Supervise, mentor, and support up to 30 online faculty members.

• Serve as a liaison between online faculty and the Online Chair.

• Analyze course and faculty performance and communicate concerns to the Online Chair.

• Conduct portfolio and qualitative assessments of online faculty.

• Mentor faculty on performance and adherence to course instruction guidelines.

• Assist in resolving student conflicts.

• Investigate student appeals and recommend actions to the Online Chair.

• Complete the contracted teaching assignment by the conclusion of the academic year.

• Maintain weekly communication with online faculty via email and phone.

• Communicate policies, procedures, deadlines, and directives.

• Respond to cohort inquiries within 24 hours.

• Attend Instructional Mentor meetings through conference calls.

• Participate in University, College/School, or departmental committees and special projects.

• Attend special University events.

• Promote Christian life, integrity, social responsibility, and the communication of the Christian faith.

• Support Liberty University’s doctrinal beliefs and mission of spiritual development.

⛳️ Requirements

• A conferred terminal degree (Ph.D. or Th.D.) in Pastoral Counseling, Biblical Counseling, Community Care and Counseling, Counseling, Counselor Education and Family Studies, Counseling Psychology, Pastoral Care and Counseling, Human Services, Crisis Counseling, Traumatology, Ethics, Social Work, or a related field is required.

• Teaching experience is necessary.

• Familiarity with technologies relevant to online education.

• A passion for mentoring faculty members.

• A commitment to the mission and objectives of Liberty University.

• A preferred history of exceptional teaching and student mentorship.

• Administrative experience in higher education, particularly with assessment, course outcomes, and/or accreditation is preferred.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

• Proficiency in understanding, speaking, and writing English.

• Strong public communication abilities.

• Excellent organizational skills.

• Proficient computer skills.

• Ability to contribute effectively in a team setting.

• Capacity to work collaboratively and respectfully with colleagues.

• Strong analytical and reasoning skills to address routine and complex problems.

• Occasional travel to local and campus locations may be required.

• Regularly required to sit for extended periods.

• May occasionally need to stand, walk, or climb stairs.

• Regularly lift 10 pounds or fewer.
