This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alabama, +28 more states.
• Oversee the daily management of employee benefits programs.
• Administer leave of absence programs including FMLA, state-mandated initiatives, short-term and long-term disability, as well as company-sponsored leaves.
• Handle intricate leave cases involving employees, managers, payroll, and vendors.
• Manage new-hire benefits enrollment and offer guidance on plan options, eligibility, deadlines, and enrollment choices.
• Analyze HCM and benefits reports regarding enrollments, leave usage, data accuracy, and compliance.
• Address employee inquiries related to benefits eligibility, coverage, and claims.
• Ensure that benefits processes align with company policies and comply with federal, state, and local regulations.
• Act as the primary benefits liaison for vendors, payroll, and HR partners.
• Lead benefits audits and open enrollment initiatives, which include planning, data validation, communication, issue resolution, and follow-up.
• Educate employees about wellness programs, benefit options, and available resources.
• Identify service challenges and process deficiencies, implementing necessary improvements.
• Organize and prioritize own workload while coordinating project tasks with the manager.
• A Bachelor's degree is required or an equivalent combination of experience as specified.
• 8 to 11 years of relevant experience is required.
• 12 to 14 years of experience is preferred.
• Familiarity with FMLA, state-mandated leave programs, short-term and long-term disability, and company-sponsored leaves.
• Knowledge of ACA, COBRA, and HIPAA regulations.
• Experience in analyzing HCM and benefits reports.
• Proficient in administering benefits enrollment, leave programs, audits, and open enrollment.
• Ability to collaborate with employees, managers, payroll, vendors, carriers, plan administrators, and HR partners.
• Successful completion of pre-employment background checks and drug screenings is required.
• Must be able to work from an eligible U.S. location as listed in the posting.
