Benefits Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Wisconsin.

📋 Description

• Oversee and continuously enhance employee benefits programs outside the United States.

• Collaborate on global benefits initiatives that align with the Total Rewards strategy.

• Assess and improve benefits offerings to ensure market competitiveness, cost-effectiveness, and compliance.

• Perform benchmarking and market analysis across international markets.

• Work alongside internal stakeholders to bolster talent attraction, retention, and employee well-being.

• Manage the administration of international health, medical, retirement, pension, life, disability, wellness, leave, time-off, supplemental, and country-specific benefits.

• Supervise annual renewals, enrollment processes, and ongoing program management.

• Ensure accurate benefits data management in collaboration with payroll.

• Develop and maintain benefits policies, procedures, and documentation.

• Cultivate relationships with global brokers, insurers, and third-party administrators.

• Monitor service levels and identify opportunities for process improvements.

• Ensure adherence to local regulations, employment laws, tax requirements, and reporting obligations.

• Keep track of legislative changes and evaluate their impact on existing programs.

• Collaborate with Legal, Finance, Payroll, and external advisors to mitigate compliance risks.

• Maintain employee-friendly benefits materials and provide educational resources on benefits.

• Respond to employee inquiries and assist with onboarding and life-event benefits processes.

• Prepare presentations for leadership and reporting for stakeholders.

• Assist with benefits budgeting and forecasting.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience.

• Over 5 years of experience in benefits, including proficiency in benefits administration, vendor management, and regulatory compliance.

• Proven experience in managing benefits programs, vendors, compliance, and cross-functional projects.

• Strong analytical, communication, and project management abilities.

• Capacity to navigate ambiguity, foster relationships, and handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

• Experience in biotechnology, healthcare, life sciences, or rapidly growing technology sectors (preferred).

• Experience in supporting benefits implementations or expansions into new countries (preferred).

• Curiosity, sound judgment, and the ability to critically assess and responsibly utilize AI-enabled tools in line with company policies, ethical standards, and regulatory requirements.

• Background screening, including criminal history, is required.
