Behavioral Health Licensed Practical Nurse, LPN

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Kentucky.

📋 Description

• Oversee and manage patient admissions and transfers from hospitals and clinics.

• Utilize clinical decision-making skills and established criteria to guarantee the appropriate level of care.

• Work collaboratively with intake teams, physicians, nursing personnel, and hospital departments to ensure timely and suitable placements.

• Track patient flow, monitor delays, and enhance access processes to achieve better outcomes.

• Act as a liaison among facilities, patients, families, and healthcare providers.

• Manage referrals from submission to final acceptance within a 45-minute timeframe.

• Ensure adherence to EMTALA, Lifepoint Health policies, and established quality standards.

• Coordinate the prompt and appropriate placement of individuals requiring acute behavioral health care across 18 locations.

⛳️ Requirements

• Valid Compact LPN License.

• Minimum of 3 years of clinical experience in Behavioral Health or ED (EmPath Unit) / Critical Care experience with Behavioral Health patients.

• Access to high-speed internet (minimum: 50 Mbps upload / 100 Mbps download).

• Exceptional communication skills and a dedication to patient-centered care.

• Familiarity with regulatory requirements, EMTALA, Lifepoint Health Ethics and Compliance policies, and quality initiatives.

• Strong clinical judgment and critical thinking abilities.

• Capability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.

• Typing speed of 30-40 words per minute.

• Successful completion of Internet Speed and Basic Computer Competency Assessments.
