Behavioral Health Contract Negotiation Manager

πŸ“‹ Description

β€’ Negotiate competitive agreements with behavioral healthcare providers in accordance with internal protocols and financial criteria.

β€’ Prepare and evaluate contract language, working alongside cross-functional teams on non-standard provisions.

β€’ Perform financial and competitive assessments to secure top-market discounts and achieve financial objectives.

β€’ Oversee contract performance and collaborate with internal departments to address issues related to contract execution, loading, and maintenance.

β€’ Assist in the implementation of value-based contracts that align with business goals.

β€’ Develop and nurture relationships with key providers and address escalated claims, contract interpretation, and provider data accuracy challenges.

β€’ Negotiate settlements and recruit providers as necessary to ensure network adequacy and support expansion initiatives.

β€’ Hold responsibility for specific medical cost initiatives.


⛳️ Requirements

β€’ Over 5 years of experience in provider contracting and relationship management, including contract language, rate proposals, and financial analysis.

β€’ High proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.

β€’ Proven ability to leverage competitive and financial data to negotiate advantageous contracts.

β€’ Experience in Behavioral Health Contracting, Provider Network Management, or Behavioral Health Operations.

β€’ Excellent critical thinking, problem-solving, organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.

β€’ Capability to manage multiple negotiations and tasks concurrently, meet deadlines, and maintain robust external and internal relationships.

β€’ Strong preference for candidates living in Central Region states, including Illinois, Colorado, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, North Dakota, Ohio, South Dakota, or Wisconsin.

β€’ Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education and professional experience.
