This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Virginia.
• Assist in executing integrated marketing and communications strategies that align with the company's overall goals, Business Unit priorities, target audiences, and growth ambitions.
• Conduct research, draft, edit, proofread, and manage the flow of external and internal communications content.
• Create and uphold marketing materials, presentations, executive biographies, project summaries, customer-impact narratives, event resources, and promotional items.
• Distill complex technical, operational, and mission-oriented information into clear, precise, and engaging content.
• Aid in the development of website content, digital campaigns, company announcements, executive communications, thought leadership pieces, press releases, and social media material.
• Contribute to public relations and media relations efforts, including press releases, media pitches, background documents, talking points, profiles, and award submissions.
• Track industry news, competitor activities, customer achievements, contract awards, company initiatives, and market trends.
• Oversee the coordination of recognition submissions, award nominations, corporate rankings, executive biographies, and promotional content.
• Support conferences, trade shows, sponsorships, customer events, webinars, executive forums, and activities within industry associations.
• Assist in strategizing for events, managing timelines, budgets, registration, vendor coordination, sponsorship deliverables, booth logistics, promotional items, signage, shipping, and execution on the event day.
• Help with website content, landing pages, newsletters, email campaigns, social media, and digital marketing materials.
• Monitor and analyze website traffic, social media metrics, email engagement, content usage, event activities, media coverage, and campaign results.
• Maintain marketing project trackers, budget records, vendor estimates, invoices, files, and other documentation.
• Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, public relations, journalism, English, business, graphic design, or a related area of study.
• 0–2 years of relevant experience in marketing, communications, public relations, journalism, content creation, event coordination, digital marketing, or a related field.
• Excellent writing, editing, proofreading, research, and verbal communication abilities.
• Capability to investigate new topics and produce accurate, concise, and audience-tailored content.
• Strong organizational and project management skills, with the capability to juggle multiple projects, deadlines, review cycles, and inputs from stakeholders.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Outlook, and Teams.
• Ability to generate polished presentations, documents, marketing materials, and communications products with meticulous attention to detail.
• Capacity to collaborate effectively with technical experts, business leaders, cross-functional teams, and external vendors.
• Ability to exercise sound judgment, maintain confidentiality, and operate under general supervision.
