Bakers Assistant

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Support the preparation of baked goods such as pastries, pies, cookies, squares, cakes, and various other bakery items.

• Accurately measure and prepare ingredients.

• Combine doughs and batters as needed.

• Shape and fill pastries appropriately.

• Assist with baking duties under the guidance of a baker or head baker.

• Prepare food items following prep lists and standard recipes set by Aramark.

• Adhere to proper food handling protocols.

• Ensure accurate food rotation to maintain quality and freshness.

• Manage, label, date, cover, and store leftover foods in accordance with Aramark standards.

• Keep refrigerators and work areas clean and organized.

• Clean, sanitize, and arrange stations and kitchen equipment at the end of shifts.

• Maintain a safe and sanitary working environment.

• Follow all safety policies and procedures for accident reporting.

• Complete all required training.

⛳️ Requirements

• Experience in professional remote camp or commercial baking.

• At least one year of experience in prep work or food service-related roles is preferred.

• Familiarity with food preparation, proper knife handling, temperature control, and sanitation is beneficial.

• Must have the ability to read and write to communicate effectively with others.

• Basic math skills and counting abilities are necessary.

• Capability to lift, bend, push, pull, and stand or walk for extended periods.

• May be required to wear uniforms and utilize Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).

• Successful completion of pre-employment drug and alcohol testing is mandatory.

• A successful criminal background check is required.

• A resume must be included with the application.
