This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Complete a comprehensive full-time training program lasting 6–7 weeks to attain certification in the Federal Investigative Standards.
• Engage in daily travel for conducting in-person background investigations to evaluate the employment suitability of individuals needing access to sensitive or classified U.S. Government information.
• Schedule and facilitate face-to-face interviews with subjects, neighbors, employers, friends, and family members.
• Execute record searches at police departments, courthouses, educational institutions, financial establishments, and medical/mental health facilities.
• Accurately type and report the information gathered using a government-issued computer system.
• Operate independently while also collaborating as part of a team of Investigators and with a Field Manager.
• A minimum of 4 years of general work experience or a bachelor's degree may be considered.
• Previous experience in conducting federal background investigations is preferred.
• Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a Top Secret clearance.
• An active federal background investigation with a T5 adjudication is preferred.
• U.S. citizenship is required.
• Daily local travel and occasional travel outside the primary work area as needed.
• A home office setup is required.
• Temporary Duty Assignments/remote travel lasting 14–30 days away from home may be necessary.
• Candidates must reside within 15 miles of the Atlanta city center.
• A valid driver’s license and consistent access to reliable transportation are essential.
• Sufficient motor vehicle insurance is required.
• Strong typing skills are necessary, with a recommended speed of 40+ WPM.
• Ability to work concurrently within multiple computer programs.
• Capability to speak for extended durations and hear adequately for in-person and telephone interactions.
• Proficiency in recording, reading, and transcribing words and numbers accurately.
• Excellent grammar and writing abilities are required.
• Ability to interact professionally, write for extended periods, meet attendance and punctuality standards, and maintain meticulous attention to detail.
• High levels of confidentiality, ethics, and integrity are mandatory.
• Professional attire is required.
• Must be capable of lifting and moving up to 10 pounds, climbing stairs, walking extensively, standing for long periods, and driving under adverse or nighttime conditions.
• Relocation assistance is not available.
• Full-time employment opportunities.
• Comprehensive 6–7 week new Investigator training, offered both virtually and in person.
• Potential eligibility for overtime, shift differentials, and discretionary bonuses in addition to base salary.
