Backend Python Developer, Specialist I

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Contribute to the Agent Platform, a unified system for the creation, management, and operation of LLM agents across Grupo Boticário’s business channels.

• Collaborate with the Tech Lead to actualize the technical vision of the products.

• Produce clean, efficient code and develop optimized algorithms.

• Engage in technical reviews to minimize the squad’s technical debt.

• Assist in the execution of Proofs of Concept (PoCs) for GenAI technologies.

• Ensure quality and observability through automated end-to-end testing and error monitoring.

• Tackle highly complex issues while guaranteeing scalable and stable GenAI products.

• Develop high-quality backend solutions prioritizing performance, simplicity, and best practices.

• Design, unit test, deploy, and monitor various solutions.

• Improve applications, provide recommendations, and architect system designs.

• Take part in decisions regarding product implementation.

• Maintain, enhance, and review code through Code Reviews and Pair Programming.

• Foster strong relationships and pursue innovative solutions.

• Keep documentation current and accurate.

• Collaborate effectively and address problems with viable solutions.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proven experience in backend development with Python.

• Proficiency in automated testing, including unit, integration, end-to-end, load, and stress testing.

• Strong knowledge of both relational and non-relational databases.

• Familiarity with Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery (CI/CD), GitHub, GitHub Actions, and Sonar.

• Understanding of the AWS platform, encompassing EC2, Secrets Manager, Kafka, SQS, RDS, DocumentDB, DynamoDB, and Amazon ElastiCache for Redis.

• Awareness of secure development practices, security assessments, vulnerabilities, and incident response strategies.

• Experience with Scrum and Kanban methodologies.

• Capacity to work independently in a cross-functional, multilingual, and collaborative setting.

• A pragmatic approach to problem-solving.

• A proactive, analytical, and inquisitive mindset with a systems-oriented perspective.

• Experience with application observability and monitoring, including logs, metrics, and distributed tracing.

• Familiarity with AI assistants in the development process, such as GitHub Copilot and Cursor.

• Strong communication skills with the ability to align with business requirements.

• Preferred: experience in integrating LLM APIs, GenAI engines, or agent platforms.

• Preferred: familiarity with LLMs in production settings.

• Preferred: experience with AI systems architecture and integration, including RAG, embeddings, vector databases, ingestion, and tool calling.

• Preferred: background in developing React web applications.

• Preferred: experience with frameworks for production LLM applications, such as Agno, LangChain, or LlamaIndex.
